Ideal for areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms. You'll find that sheet vinyl is highly resistant to water and moisture.
Requires minimal maintenance. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping keep it looking new.

This type of flooring is suitable for various rooms in your home, particularly those prone to moisture or heavy use:

Installing sheet vinyl flooring can be a straightforward process for your next flooring project. Keep in mind that it requires careful preparation and attention to detail to ensure a seamless finish. We recommend always using professional installers to ensure the best installation.
We start by making sure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. We'll remove any old flooring or debris that could affect the installation. If installing over an existing floor, we'll make sure it is in good condition and properly secured.
Our team will measure the dimensions of the room accurately to determine the amount of sheet vinyl needed. We add a few extra inches to your measurements to account for trimming and fitting.
We allow the sheet vinyl to acclimate to the room's temperature and humidity for at least 24 hours before installation.
An installer will unroll the sheet vinyl and cut it to size using a utility knife. Make precise cuts around edges, corners, and obstacles. We always measure twice to ensure accuracy.
We'll apply adhesive to the subfloor using a trowel, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Our installers work in small sections to prevent the adhesive from drying out before the vinyl is laid.
Starting from one side of the room, we carefully lay the sheet vinyl onto the adhesive, smoothing it out to remove any air bubbles or wrinkles. We use a roller to press the vinyl into the adhesive for a secure bond.
Our team will trim excess vinyl along the edges using a utility knife. This will ensure the vinyl fits snugly against walls and fixtures.
We allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before walking on the floor or moving furniture back into the room. This ensures a strong and durable bond.
We always recommend hiring a professional installer. This will save time and ensure a flawless finish.
Maintaining sheet vinyl flooring is simple and requires minimal effort:
Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dirt and debris. Mop with a mild cleaning solution to keep the floor looking its best.
Use gentle cleaning products to prevent damage to the vinyl surface.
Place mats at entryways to catch dirt and moisture. Use furniture pads to prevent scratches and dents.
When considering sheet vinyl flooring, it’s helpful to compare it to other flooring options. This will help to determine the best fit for your needs:
While both offer water resistance and durability, luxury vinyl typically comes in planks or tiles. It can mimic natural wood or stone more closely. Sheet vinyl is generally more affordable and easier to install.
Tile flooring offers a more rigid and durable option, ideal for high-traffic areas. However, sheet vinyl is more budget-friendly and easier to install and maintain.
Hardwood flooring provides a timeless, natural look but can be expensive and requires more maintenance. Sheet vinyl offers a similar aesthetic at a lower cost and with less upkeep.

Mid America Flooring Solutions
Making your dream floors affordable and accessible
I am a 2nd generation flooring professional with over a decade in the industry and have worn a lot of hats within the trade. I have been a helper picking up scraps and fetching tools, I have been an employee installer, a Subcontractor, I spent time estimating, Selling product, completing trade certifications, and managing a multistate workforce of field managers and flooring contractors. I have experience in all types of floor coverings such as carpet, vinyl, tile/backsplash, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl plank. I have learned that in flooring no matter what role you are in the common goal is to transform the clients space and give them the best experience possible. That is something I strive to do on a daily basis no matter what hat I am wearing. My wife is in the flooring industry on the office side of things as well as two of my nieces and one of my nephews. I have two sons that are St. Peters hockey players that one day will hopefully be involved in the business as well. Outside of flooring my family loves to be outside. We enjoy fishing, boating, BBQing, and other outdoor activities. My brother Greg and I operate Mid America Flooring Solutions and have parents that built and own a very successful company within the flooring trade. We ultimately value the opportunity to provide great service to our customers and strive to give the best experience in the flooring industry.
Flooring is in my blood as a 3rd generation flooring professional, my grandfather was an installer and then went into sales, my father was an installer and then went into flooring project management, my mom and bonus dad have been in the business for over 30 years. I grew up around job sites and remember vividly the distinct smell of the warehouses, crawling around carpet samples in my grandfather’s van, sitting on rolls of carpet and pad as we drove to job sites and to be let out on my own to do various tasks. I have some scars from those early days that bring back found memories. I went away from the flooring business for some time focusing on my education and working closely with and leading Teams of people in various industries for the last 20 years. I am back to where I belong, in the flooring business and have been here for the past several years. I love working with clients and our Teams to give our clients what they deserve no matter the size of the project. My two daughters, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and are all part of the business, so it truly is something we are all passionate about. We are dedicated to wanting to be your lifelong flooring partners with exceptional client service based on integrity, responsiveness and a people-centric approach. In my free time, in the summer you will find me hanging with my wife of 27 years, family and friends boating on the Mississippi river, we love to volunteer and support local businesses, love to travel, are huge dog lovers and try to make the most out of each day with a positive outlook on the future.
