A tile backsplash is a protective and decorative wall covering installed behind sinks, stoves, and countertops. You'll find them in kitchens and bathrooms. It serves to protect the walls from moisture, stains, and splashes while adding a stylish element to your space.
Available in a variety of materials, colors, and designs. Tile backsplashes can be customized to complement any décor style.
Tile backsplashes offer endless design possibilities, allowing you to create a unique and personalized look. From classic white tiles to luxurious natural stone, there’s a style for every taste.
Tiles are incredibly durable and can withstand heat, moisture, and daily wear and tear. They are perfect for kitchen and bathroom environments.
Porcelain and ceramic tiles are water-resistant, protecting your walls from moisture and potential damage.
Tile backsplashes are easy to clean and maintain. Simply wipe away spills and splashes with a damp cloth.
Installing a tile backsplash can enhance the overall value of your home. This is because it adds a touch of sophistication and practicality.
Ceramic tiles are a popular choice for backsplashes due to their versatility, affordability, and ease of installation. They come in a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes, making it easy to create a custom look.
Porcelain tiles are denser and more durable than ceramic tiles. They are also water-resistant and ideal for high-moisture areas. Porcelain tiles are available in various finishes, including glossy, matte, and textured.
Natural stone tiles, such as marble, granite, and travertine, offer a luxurious and timeless look. Each stone tile is unique, adding character and elegance to your backsplash.
Glass tiles provide a sleek, modern look and reflect light, making your kitchen or bathroom appear brighter and more spacious. They are available in various colors and finishes.
For a rustic or contemporary design, subway tiles offer a clean, classic appearance. They offer durability and water resistance to the tile.
Installing a tile backsplash requires precision and attention to detail. Our installers take special care to give you a flawless finish!
Our professional installers start by ensuring the wall surface is clean, dry, and free of any old adhesive or wallpaper. Then will repair any cracks or holes to create a smooth, even surface.
For added durability and water resistance, we install a backer board over the wall. This provides a solid foundation for the tiles.
We will measure the area and plan the layout of your tiles. We mark the center points of the wall to ensure a symmetrical design. We dry-fit the tiles to visualize the final look and make any necessary adjustments.
We use a tile cutter or wet saw to cut tiles to fit around outlets, corners, and edges. You can be sure that we'll always measure twice to ensure accurate cuts.
Our installers begin at center points and work outward to ensure a balanced design. They'll use a level to draw horizontal and vertical guidelines on the wall.
We spread adhesive on the wall using a notched trowel. We then work in small sections to prevent the adhesive from drying out before the tiles are applied.
Our team will press the tiles into the adhesive, using spacers to maintain even grout joints. Then ensure each tile is level and adjust as needed.
After the tiles are set, we remove the spacers and fill the grout joints with grout. We use a rubber float to spread the grout and press it into the joints. Then we wipe off the excess grout with a damp sponge.
We'll allow the grout to cure for 24 hours before applying a sealant. Sealant helps protect the grout from stains and moisture.
Then we clean the tiles with a damp cloth to remove any remaining adhesive or grout residue.

When selecting a tile backsplash, consider the following factors to ensure it complements your overall design:
Choose colors and styles that match or contrast with your countertops, cabinets, and flooring. Classic white tiles offer a timeless look, while bold colors and patterns can create a statement piece.
Consider the benefits and aesthetics of different materials, such as ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass, and wood look tiles.
Select a material that fits your lifestyle and maintenance preferences. For example, glass tiles are easy to clean, while natural stone may require more upkeep.
Determine your budget and explore options within your price range. Ceramic tiles are typically more affordable, while natural stone and glass tiles may be more expensive.

Making your dream floors affordable and accessible
I am a 2nd generation flooring professional with over a decade in the industry and have worn a lot of hats within the trade. I have been a helper picking up scraps and fetching tools, I have been an employee installer, a Subcontractor, I spent time estimating, Selling product, completing trade certifications, and managing a multistate workforce of field managers and flooring contractors. I have experience in all types of floor coverings such as carpet, vinyl, tile/backsplash, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl plank. I have learned that in flooring no matter what role you are in the common goal is to transform the clients space and give them the best experience possible. That is something I strive to do on a daily basis no matter what hat I am wearing. My wife is in the flooring industry on the office side of things as well as two of my nieces and one of my nephews. I have two sons that are St. Peters hockey players that one day will hopefully be involved in the business as well. Outside of flooring my family loves to be outside. We enjoy fishing, boating, BBQing, and other outdoor activities. My brother Greg and I operate Mid America Flooring Solutions and have parents that built and own a very successful company within the flooring trade. We ultimately value the opportunity to provide great service to our customers and strive to give the best experience in the flooring industry.
Flooring is in my blood as a 3rd generation flooring professional, my grandfather was an installer and then went into sales, my father was an installer and then went into flooring project management, my mom and bonus dad have been in the business for over 30 years. I grew up around job sites and remember vividly the distinct smell of the warehouses, crawling around carpet samples in my grandfather’s van, sitting on rolls of carpet and pad as we drove to job sites and to be let out on my own to do various tasks. I have some scars from those early days that bring back found memories. I went away from the flooring business for some time focusing on my education and working closely with and leading Teams of people in various industries for the last 20 years. I am back to where I belong, in the flooring business and have been here for the past several years. I love working with clients and our Teams to give our clients what they deserve no matter the size of the project. My two daughters, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and are all part of the business, so it truly is something we are all passionate about. We are dedicated to wanting to be your lifelong flooring partners with exceptional client service based on integrity, responsiveness and a people-centric approach. In my free time, in the summer you will find me hanging with my wife of 27 years, family and friends boating on the Mississippi river, we love to volunteer and support local businesses, love to travel, are huge dog lovers and try to make the most out of each day with a positive outlook on the future.
